F-29 Retaliator is an old dos game, published in 1989 by Ocean. Main genre of this old game is simulation. We gave this game stunning rating of 88 and you can download it for free right here. In 1991, Ocean Software had an excellent idea, which results in this game, simulator of air operations in the near future (that is, about now) - F-29 Retaliator. You can choose from two aircraft: F-22 and F-29. Nowadays I think the situation is such that in the F/A-22 Raptor prolonged U.S. military contract for delivery by 2010. How about the F-29 do not know, I think it ended just as one of the development versions. In the game I did not find significant differences in operation, perhaps only in the colors of aircraft (and the fit elevators, ...). At the time of its release, actuall stealth fighters were strictly confidential and there were only rummours and unconfirmed informations. Fighter in the game is completely fictional and has only a little in common with real fighter F-117 (even though the game designers tried to gather as much informations as possible). It is a classic flight simulator, so you will complete various missions, you get to different countries and gradually you will get promoted to higher rankings. Missions are quite varied and you're gonna do a lots of flying in the night, to ensure enemies won't spot you.

Description of SimCity 2000

Paradigm wrote : This game had so much depth and complexity, the official tip book for it was half the size of a New York City phone book. Even by today's standards the graphics still look pretty snazy. All I can really say is, it is the best game of its kind and certainly the best in the series.

There are sadly a lot of bugs though. Not all Ordinances work. Some do not work correctly. Some buildings have such a negligible effect they are pointless to build, others have a far greater impact then they should. Road, highway and railroad connections to neighboring cities build but do not seem to register, though this only seems to happen when running under DOS Box. Finally, the game is VERY crash prone when running under DOS Box.

 

 

 

Mega Man Perfect Blue – Alpha Demo

Mega Man Perfect Blue is a beautifully animated 8-bit styled Mega Man fan game where Mega Man and his sister (Roll) set out on a glitchy adventure to stop the mysterious Phantasm Nemesis.

Mega Man Perfect Blue aims to reinvent the classic Mega Man formula, while still retaining the core of what makes the Blue Bomber’s games so great. It retains a similar style (and aspect ratios) as the classic 8-bit games, but the character animation is far superior, the movement is a little more fluid and the gameplay is a tiny bit less punishing. The addition of Roll really shakes up the gameplay too, with her dashing and powerful broom melee attack making for a slightly more accessible and modern gameplay experience.

The Mega Man Perfect Blue demo build features two levels, two boss fights and two playable characters. The boss fights are a particular highlight and have easily recognizable attack patterns that you can learn and anticipate. Remarkably, each character has their own unique set of levels, which is great because it means the devs can tailor them towards their unique skill-sets rather than shoehorning them in.

If you’ve always liked the idea of Mega Man games, but failed miserably at them then Mega Man Perfect Blue is the perfect game for you. It should still appease hardcore fans as it’s still a tough game, but it’s far more accessible than the official 8-bit offerings and feels a little more modern. The story is also very intriguing, the pixel art animation is superb and the soundtrack is rockin’. Highly recommended.

Trash Sailors is a wonderfully chaotic hand drawn sailing survival game for 1 to 4 players, where you attempt to keep your trashy raft afloat in seriously hazardous waters.

Currently in development by fluckyMachine (creators of Escape Doodland), Trash Sailors is a beautifully drawn sailing survival adventure where you try to keep your raft afloat in a world that’s been flooded by a hugs tsunami. It’s playable in single-player (with you able to switch between control of sailors manually), but really it’s best played in co-op multiplayer – the more the merrier (and the more wonderfully chaotic things become).

The goal in Trash Sailors is to help your ship survive long enough to reach the exit of each uniquely themed level. You can fish for debris that can be used to repair/upgrade your ship or fuel your motor. You can also man the ship’s wheel to steer it and you can even operate canons that you can use to dispatch enemies.

The visual style is fantastic and it’s a fun game that always has something to keep you busy as you try to save your little raft. There’s a lot to deal with as your raft sails the perilous seas, such as hungry crocodiles, toxic sharks and actric pirates, so teamwork (or just lots of shouting at each other) is necessary. See if you can keep your raft shipshape or sink like a lead balloon!

Unpacking is a very satisfying zen puzzle game where you unpack moving boxes and find the correct places for all your stuff.

In Unpacking your character moves into eight new homes over the course of their lives. You’re never explicitly told a story and you never see your character, but you get a sense of who they are and their lives as you unpack the belongings as they move into each house. Each level of the game is a different home that your character is moving into and you need to open the moving boxes and place all the items within them in suitable places. You’re given a little leeway for your own taste in placement, but everything has a rough area that it should go in (clothes go in a wardrobe, books go on a bookshelf or a desk, etc). Once you’ve unpacked all the boxes then anything that’s in the wrong place will flash, indicating that you need to move it somewhere more suitable.

The current build of Unpacking features two playable levels and takes around 20 minutes to play through. It’s a very pleasant experience that sort of gives you a Tetris-esque satisfaction of finding the right place to put things. It’s very easy to get to grips with and finding the right place for objects is fairly intuitive (though the kitchen in the second level requires some good arranging skills).

Aside from shopping in an Ikea, moving house is one of the most stressful experiences of modern life, but Unpacking not only manages to make it fun, but even relaxing. It’s an intuitive and oddly addictive game and there’s a real satisfaction to finding the right place for everything. Even in the two levels of the demo you start to get a feeling of who your character is and their interests, so it’ll be nice to see who things play out as their life progresses. Highly recommended.
